Hi,

I have just downloaded and installed the peerDirect PostgreSQL software for Windows 2000 + drivers and have installed PGAdminII with the Database Migration plugin.  Followed each install step by step - appeared to be pretty straightforward.

I can create a database quite happily but am unable to add tables etc to this database.  The dropdown list shows tables etc greyed out.  The tree view only shows the database with language and schema.

Deciding to tackle it from another angle I migrated a small set of database tables from another source into the newly created database.  The wizard was quite straightforward and advised me that all had beed completed.  Refreshed application (eventually closed and reopened application) but still cannot see the tables etc and the Create Object drop down list has most of the items greyed.

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong, am not doing, may need to change etc???
The idea was to download the database system and try it out for a few weeks to see if it would be suitable.

many thanks

Liz

You must be further down the tree of database objects to create tables.  Ie Databases[+], Database name[+], schemas[+], public (at this level I can create tables)
