Harmless to PG, yes. They might indicate something worthy of investigation though ... like someone portscanning your server. Or just a broken client. Anyway it appears something is connecting to your port 5432 and then disconnecting right away. regards, tom lane
Yep , We do connect to 5432 to see if pg is up every min and disconnect. it is not a db connection but a simple opening / closing of TCP/IP socket for port 5432. that is the cheapest port monitoring i could think of regds mallah.
