Thread: counting tupples
I couldn't find anything relating to getting the cardinality of a table. I know a select will display number of rows. I was hoping there was a 'cheaper' (less expensive) way than doing a full select. -- David Bear College of Public Programs/ASU
Hi folks, There is "reltuples" in pg_class which is approximately equal to select count(*) from relation. i think its updated only on VACUUMING ?
