Thread: Users ip
The project i am working on uses a postgres db accessed mainly from a browser using java. We also require a direct connection for some clients using odbc (with ssl) from a windows application. This works fine but requires the client to have an ip address specified in the pg_hba.conf. If the user doesn't have a static ip address then obviously there can be no entry for them in pg_hba.conf. Is there a solution to this so that direct connections using odbc can still be used? Thanks Jai
Are your clients connecting from the same domain? If so you can specify the ip domain as a whole to allow them access usingwild cards. not necessarily. suppose the only way is to allow access to of all ip's with wild cards, this is possible isn't it?
