vaccumdb vacuum memory usage

I have been running postgres for a short while, however, when I run the vaccumdb or vaccum commands I do not understand why my memory usage is increased and never released.

Can someone explain this .  Is there memory leaks in this command. Is it possible to clear the memory cache for postgresql

    Hi,

How do you measure, that there is memory leak? Could you post here
example commands with results, so others could look at it? What OS?

    Best regards,
