Sorry for CC,

psql -h 192.168.133.15 -l
     List of available databases :

      Name | Owner
-----------------+----------
 template0 | alf
 template1 | alf
 otherdb | alf

Directory base :

[alf@cpa-linux3 base]$ ll
total 24
drwx------ 2 alf alf 4096 mai 23 07:36 1
drwx------ 2 alf alf 4096 mar 28 15:39 16555
drwx------ 3 alf alf 8192 mai 22 17:27 31450335
drwx------ 2 alf alf 4096 mai 22 17:27 45136415
drwx------ 2 alf alf 4096 mai 23 16:24 46004129

And if i undestand what you say, normally i would have 5 database return by
the command "psql -l" and i have only 3.

Can you connect to database template1 ?

what does "psql -l" gives? eg in my case it gives
 psql -h 192.168.0.11 -U tradein -l
     List of databases
      Name | Owner
-----------------+----------
 access_log | tradein
 rt2 | postgres
 sysstat | tradein
 template0 | postgres
 template1 | postgres
 tradein_clients | tradein
(6 rows)

are you sure the database "test" existed while the filesystem backup was
taking place.
howmany folders are existing inside /var/lib/pgsql/data/base currently?

each folder there corresponds to one database in my case eg it is
[root@system11 base]# ls -l
total 48
drwx------ 2 postgres postgres 4096 Apr 29 01:55 1
drwx------ 2 postgres postgres 4096 Apr 29 01:55 16555
drwx------ 3 postgres postgres 28672 May 23 16:11 378968
drwx------ 2 postgres postgres 4096 Apr 29 02:07 378969
drwx------ 2 postgres postgres 4096 May 21 16:18 7865515
drwx------ 2 postgres postgres 4096 May 23 20:36 8990396
[root@system11 base]#

do such folders exists in your case?
