Hi,
I'm using pg_dumpall to do periodic backups. I just changed the config
of my test machine to use password authentication instead of 'trust'
and this system doesn't work anymore, as pg_dumpall requires the
passwords for every db I have...
Is there a way to work around this?

You can find a patched pg_dumpall that can handle password authentication
for the "postgres" user at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=87035&repeatmerged=yes
