Installation Question

I'm trying to upgrade to postgresql 6.3.2
For some reason I make all the way to the step in which you type
initdb..
After this step I get the message

WARN:heap_modifytuple: repl is \ -9
initdb: could not create template database
initdb: cleaning up by wiping out /usr/local/pgsql/data/base/template1

Do you have any suggestions?
