Thread: pgadmin 1.14.0 Ubuntu12.04 "Failed to write to history file!" AND "KATASTROPHE, kann die Logdatei nicht öffnen!"

Hi list,

i'm running pgadmin on several machines with ubuntu 12.04 and on one PC
pgadmin sends error windows:

"KATASTROPHE kann die Logdatei nicht öffnen!" if there is a fault in the
sql-script (i do not know the englisch expression, perhaps something
like "FATAL cannot open logfile"

"Failed to write to history file!" if the script ended successfully

the home folder is writeable, i even copied pgadmin.log and
.pgadmin_histoqueries in the home folder and gave writeable to all
(777), but nothing changed...
In the same folder lies the file .pgadmin3 and this file seems to
accessable.

AFAICT, this bug has been fixed. You need the latest 1.14 release (or
better the 1.16).

you should check the path to the history file under:

Datei(File) -> Optionen (Options) -> Abfragewerkzeug (SQL Query Tool) -> History file
