Renaming a table by right clicking on the table, selecting Properties... on the contextual menu and then editing the Name field on the Properties tab and then clicking on the OK button will consistently cause a freeze up of the pgAdminIII app. I have to then force quit the app using the Task Manager. I have found this problem on two different sites that I am accessing using the built in Windows Terminal Services RDP client (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Service Pack 1). Note that each time I have done this I between clicking on the OK button and the freeze up a "hints' dialog is shown giving me a hint on Primary Keys (the tables in question do not have primary keys since they are only used to import data from text files); when I acknowledge/dismiss the hint by clicking OK, the freeze up occurs. Also, when I relaunch pgAdminIII I have noticed that the rename successfully occurred.

it doesn't freeze for me. Are you using the 1.16 release ? if not, try
and tell us if it still happens.

Thanks.

Just did it 4 more times with the same result (freeze up and need to force quit).  Prior to the last 2 times I turned off the Guru hints on the theory that might have something to do with it (since the Guru hints dialog always popped up between the time I clicked OK and the freeze up), but it still froze up.

Here is the command in the SQL tab (if I execute this from a SQL Editor window, there is no problem):  ALTER TABLE conversion.ac_journalpost_rev_cc_0924y
  RENAME TO ac_journalpost_rev_cc_0924;

pgAdminIII version in about window:  Version 1.16.0 (Sep 7 2012, rev: REL-1_16_0)

I forgot to mention last time (though I'm not sure it matters), that the server is version 8.4.11 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu (Ubuntu 4.4.3-4ubuntu5)

If this is any help, here are the "problem details" from the Window error dialog:
