anew SQL window.<li>Start typing.</ol><p><b>Expected Results</b><p>The UI keeps up with my typing speed.<p><b>Actual
Results</b><p>Typingin the SQL window using a remote X session (over a high-bandwidth Internet connection) is nearly
impossible. The UI updates are less than 1 character per 3 seconds. (I can type a smidge over 120 wpm, so 0.3 cps is
painfullyslow.)<br /><p><b>Workaround</b><ol><li>Open notepad (on local Windows machine).<li>Type a SQL statement into
notepad.<li>Copythe SQL.<li>Paste into remote pgadmin SQL window.<br /></ol><p><b>Actual Results</b><p>The UI accepts
thepasted content, nearly instantly, as expected.Kind regards.<br />

I've noticed this.

It's the syntax highlighting.
If you can build yourself a pgadmin without syntax highlighting, it
should be a lot more usable.

I meant to produce a patch with that, but forgot due to lots of RL
work. This thread reminded me ;-)

I would love to see a patch coming from this, with a nice option that
allows one to enable/disable syntax highlighting.
