(just after a certain amount of time Google groups doesn't let you
reply to a thread anymore.)

--------------------

So on the latest distribution, I had this happen again. This time, I
was clicking on a view node in the tree of an 8.4 server. The program
cleared the SQL pane and paused for a moment to query the server, as
it normally does, and then all of the sudden pgAdmin and a query
editor window I had opened and had been sitting idle disappeared from
the screen. In the Event Viewer I found this.

Hi guys I am looking for free database software running on Windows XP
or Vista. I want a program that allows pictures up to VGA (640x480 or
0.3M) size. It does not have to be a relational database.
Thanks for the help.

Oh, wait, now I remember. I had an Edit Data window open, and was
clearing a cell that held a foreign key entry.

On pgAdminIII 1.12.0 beta 1, I've been having this happen really
frequently. One table I can't even edit--as soon as I type a single
character in a column to make a new row, it crash-vanishes every
time. Actually, it does an odd thing before vanishing, creating a set
of horizontal and vertical scrollbars in the upper-left of the data
grid (over top the data), freezes a couple seconds, then all the
pgAdmin windows disappear.

Er, no vertical scrollbar. Here's a screenshot (I clicked the name
field and typed a letter):

I cannot reproduce your issue. Check with beta 2 but I don't remember a
fix to this kind of bug.
