Thread: Bug/Feature request: Parameter names
Folks, Version of pgadmin3 : 1.2.2 Version of postgresql : 8.0.3 Operating Platform : SuSE 9.3 Professional IA-32 Summary: Loss of parameter names in functions Impact (1-10): 7 Long Description: I am having difficulties with function parameter names: a. Entering them through the properties/createnew dialog boxes b. Parameter names are missing when retrieved into SQL panel. Item (b) seems especially odd, as I note that this information *is* available in the following columns/attributes a. information_schema.parameter.parameter_nameb. pg_catalog.pg_proc.proargnames I am using pgadmin3 for rapid development, and this slows me down considerably, especially. Thanks in advance -- David T. Bath dave.bath@unix.net

Named parameters are supported in the current development code which is shortly going to become a beta. You can download snapshots from http://developer.pgadmin.org/snapshots/, however you'll need to compile from source for Suse I'm afraid. Regards, Dave
