Running a Properties Report in pgAdmin on the local server results in a
core dump
Platform: Solaris x86_64
Steps to Reproduce:
----------------------
1. Install PPAS8.3R2AS on Solaris x86_64.
2. Launch pgAdmin and connect to a server running on the same local
machine
3. Right click the server and select Reports -> Properties Report.
4. Enter path/filename for output file and click OK
This error is seen in the terminal after the pgAdmin GUI exits.
(pgadmin3.bin: 6777) GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 1222:
assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
Segmentation fault(core dumped)
Expected:
-----------
Report should be generated and the application should not result in a seg
fault/core dump.

I cannot reproduce this on a custom build on S10 x86_64. Can you tell me
exactly what options where selected on the Report dialog please?

I just reproduced this on Solaris 10 x86_64 using latest EDB AS installer
(20090728)
On the Report dialogue, the default options were accepted.
The only input was the name of the output file: /tmp/report1.

I cannot reproduce using S10 x86_64 with the CM team's build either.
Possibly related to having mozilla in the path - please add /usr/sfw/bin
to your path, start pgAdmin and see if that cures the problem.

Mind you, removing mozilla doesn't break it for me.

Confirmed that Mozilla is in /usr/sfw/bin, added it to PATH, relaunched
pgAdmin but the crash is still reproducible.

Problem not present when building wxWidgets against the latest version of
GTK from Blastwave. Seems to be an issue with the version of GTK that
ships with Solaris 9.
