Ready for RC1?

From

Hi friends,

IMHO we are ready to roll RC1 now. We found a single problem on MSW
resulting from the change to 2.5.3 (nasty enough), and I got the good
feeling that the latest workaround for wxGrid is the patch that was
finally needed to have EditGrid perform multiline operations correctly.

We do have open issues regarding Debian, but these result from modules
we don't have any influence on, namely gtk: some themes behave strangely
under some conditions, and zh_TW.Big5 locale seems buggy. Both should go
on our bugs list.

I'd propose to tag RC1 now, and fork off 1.2/1.3.
Thoughts?

Regards,
Andreas

Err, yeah. Except I've got a business continuity audit going on right now, so can't do anything today, and possibly not
tomorroweither. Other than that sounds fine.

That's ok with me. How long do you plan before a final release if we
don't discover any bug in RC1 ? I'd like to give a chance to these
Debian bugs to be solved before we release final 1.2.0.

Cheers,
Raphaël

Realistically, 2 weeks or more I believe. Hopefully JIT for 8.0 gold.

Andreas

Dave,

can you roll RC1? version.h and configure.ac are updated, cvs tagging is
*not* done. I still can't package *.msi, so we'll have to rely on you.

Regards,
Andreas
