Slackware and FreeBSD run on it a treat - I wasintending to try Solaris 8 x86 tomorrow (I don't have 9). It's not a box that could stay permanently of course, but Icould do the occasional snapshot using it. Anyone else have access to a Sparc? Regards, Dave

Hiroshi Saito got something running more recently and I think he can help you and may be provide to you its Solaris 9 build. As far as I can remember, he had problems with locales but nothing which stop pgAdmin3 from running well in a C locale (am I telling the truth Hiroshi ?). Note that Solaris 9 is not actually a "supported" OS version for pgAdmin3... It's just an under development one :) At the moment, I prefer to concentrate my efforts on a good Debian build. I'll come back on Solaris port as soon as I have more time. Hiroshi, can you tell me more about your port status on Solaris ? Do you need help for packaging things (I mean provide a pkgadd compatible format) ? Regards, Raphaël P.S. Please CC to the list, you will get more chance to get a rapid and better answer ;)

See this. http://cre-ent.skcapi.co.jp/~saito/pgadmin3/Solaris9_Sparc64/ However, it wasn't touching it after that time. I must seem to try it again under the present release condition. I don't have the time when it is busy it this week with me disappointed.:-( Sorry... Regards, Hiroshi Saito
