I think you're still missing the point.  I am sorry that the Drupal
developers (at least in your opinion) do not understand the difference
between MySQL and PostgreSQL, but I don't feel like it's our problem
to fix that.  As far as I can tell, no promiment member of this
community agrees with any of the changes you are proposing.
