Yes, that was the ticket; the commands I needed to
execute are as follows:

GRANT UPDATE ON  bla_bla_id_seq TO GROUP test_group_01;
GRANT SELECT ON  bla_bla_id_seq TO GROUP test_group_01;
GRANT INSERT ON  bla_bla_id_seq TO GROUP test_group_01;
