Right. That may have slowed down the trade press recognition of Linux,
but in the end Linux has risen into view by popular demand and acclaim.

PostgreSQL has a similar opportunity and can succeed on a similar path.
We do have a superior technical solution, we have a superior open-source
support system, and we have (imho :) a superior development model and
development team open to new contributions and innovation.

The basis is there for success into the future, and at some point we
will get a lot for a little effort on marketing. Other products
bootstrap themselves by marketing early and often. And to the detriment
of the technical side.
