What have you got maintenance_work_mem set to?  If it's more than 1Gb,
back it off --- 8.1.3's VACUUM command doesn't handle that nicely.
(It's unlikely you really want it that high anyway.)

You might wanna put a space at the end of your log_line_prefix, too...
