Well, I have tested on a 32-bit Linux platform(gcc 4.4.5):
$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 3.0.38-1vl6 #1 SMP Fri Jul 20 13:41:17 JST 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Compiled fine and passed all regression tests.
