Bug reference: 1909
Logged by: Joey P. Alim
Email address: jpalim@infoplus.com.ph
PostgreSQL version: postgresql 7.3
Operating system: White Box
Description: Postgresql hang seems like an infinite loop
Details:

hi, im using postgresql 7.3 on whitebox. i tried to execute some php sql
functions, deleting some records which are expired. seems like the function
entered an infinite loop. the server is hanged. i cannot cancel the query.
i cannot kill the postgres process and it ate 99.9% cpu. waited for a long
time for completion but no result. is this a bug in postgres? or is it a
configuration problem? i tried my program in another server it worked, using
postgres 7.3 on openbsd.

please help!!!
