8.0 has such informix via functions:

    test=> \df *server*
                               List of functions
       Schema   |       Name       | Result data type | Argument data types
    ------------+------------------+------------------+---------------------
     pg_catalog | inet_server_addr | inet             |
     pg_catalog | inet_server_port | integer          |
    (2 rows)
