test=> select ts from t1;
             ts

test=> select cast (ts as timestamp(0)) from t1;
         ts
---------------------
 2006-01-05 10:15:48
(1 row)

test=> select ts::timestamp(0) from t1;
         ts
---------------------
 2006-01-05 10:15:48
