I have checked that the server is listening, I am able to ping it from my computer, and the ps ax|grep postgres command gives me, 20058 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/pgsql/bin/postgres 20060 ? Ss 0:00 postgres: writer process 20061 ? Ss 0:00 postgres: stats collector process 20653 pts/1 S+ 0:00 grep postgres I have changed the postgresql.conf file to have listen_addresses='*' and port=5432, and have restarted the server. I still seem to be getting the problem..
