I am using PostgreSQL 8.0.3 on Windows 2003 currently, and we anticipate
moving
to 8.1.2 soon on both Windows 2003 and Red Hat Linux platforms.

Two questions:

(1) Does anyone know if there is any advantage to using PostgreSQL on raw
space in Linux? If yes, what journalling file system (ext2, ext3, rieser,
etc) is the best to use on Linux if using raw space?

(2) Does anyone know whether the concept of 'raw space' is supported in
Windows 2003, and if so, how it is accomplished?
