Subject: [CYGWIN] backend closed the channel unexpectedly
Hello,
I am still trying to get postgresql-7.1.3 to work on Windows 2000 using
Cygwin1 DLL 1.3.5 and cygipc-1.11. However, while perfomring the regression
test or when connecting to postmaster I receive the following error message:

I found a mailing thread concerning a similar problem in the archives of
this list:
http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-cygwin/2001-04/msg00017.php
Is the proposed workaround still valid? Unfortunately, I cannot get my hands
on a cygwin version snapshot prior to 2001-04-16. Is there any other known
workaround?
Thanks in advance.
Carsten
