I have yet to understand why a Qt application needs some gnome package installed. Until someone can point out a problem with not doing anything special on the distributions we support, I'll just ignore the problem.
Because the QSystemTrayIcon class no longer works on Gnome (3.26+) without the TopIcons-Plus addon or something similar. From what I can see, Canonical have added "something similar" to Ubuntu by default. Fedora haven't though.
