I have successfully used the PostODBC Driver and Delphi to manipulate large
objects in a PostgreSQL 7.02 database. I use the 'lo' type that the
PostODBC driver FAQ mentions, However

Can anyone tell me whether or not PostgresSQL 7.0.2 will vacuum these
types, The ODBC driver FAQ stated that Postgres didn't support the
vacuuming of large objects. I suspect that the FAQ is rather old though.

If Postgres doesn't currently support the vacuuming of large objects I
would be very grateful if anyone could suggest a way of manually vacuuming
these 'lo' data types. The ODBC driver faq began to go into it but I need
a slightly more in-depth example.

Any help anyone can give me on this subject would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks,

Paul Carew.
