Hi Collin,
Thanks for the prompt answer. After sending the mail I tried psql but I
get the same message.
So, it seems that it is not a pgadmin problem. Strangely before starting
pgadmin I started knoda (I have some older application with it) and at
first sight it worked - I could open a form with the corresponding data
and I could browse in the db.
Now, after starting the computer newly, with pgadmin and psql I get the
same messages. Also, I tried once more knoda and I still can connect to
the server change between different pg-databases and browse tables and
forms.
Even so I tried:
user:/etc/init.d # ./postgresql status
and get back:
Checking for PostgreSQL 9.3.10: running
Checking for PostgreSQL 9.3.10: running
So, the Postgresql-Server seems to work...

It seems that I have to try the postgresql-mailing-list.

Thanks once more,
Michael
