Hi,

This is a "pre-postgres problem". I hope someone can help.
I am trying to get php4 working with postgres. However I can't even get that far.
--built php4 with pgsql support fine but I seem to be missing a step on the php4 install.
I built php-4.0.4pl1 from source file without many problems, (--with-apache=/etc/httpd --with-pgsql=/usr/lib/pgsql)
however I can't get the last step with apache to work.
(ie build the .so file)
apache-1.3.14-2.6.2 & apache-devel-1.3.14-2.6.2 was installed from RH rpm's NOT src.

Install created these files in the /usr/include/apache dir
(I put a link in the /etc/httpd/ dir to get the make to work)

-rw-r--r--    1 root     root      9358444 Mar 25 21:02 libmodphp4.a
-rw-rw-r--    1 root     root          478 Mar 25 21:02 libphp4.module
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root        23072 Mar 25 21:02 mod_php4.c
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root           12 Mar 25 21:02 mod_php4.exp
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root         1714 Mar 25 21:02 mod_php4.h
-rw-rw-r--    1 root     root            0 Mar 25 21:02 mod_php4.lo
-rw-rw-r--    1 root     root        96056 Mar 25 21:02 mod_php4.o

So, how do I generate the .so module without reinstalling & reconfiguring apache from scratch?
Also while I'm here, I had postgres working with php3 (nothing complex but it worked) (any known problems with php4?)

Many thanks.
