Hi everyone,

Is there anyone here that has a serious interest in writing articles about PostgreSQL?

The O'Reilly group are looking for PostgreSQL articles, as are a few other places that have been in contact over the
lastfew months.

You don't have to be fantastic at it, enthusiasm and the willingness to discuss things before they go into print are
allthat's needed. :)

Really hoping that some people will get involved here, as we _need_ a lot more articles in the press... it generates
mind-sharefor us.

:-)

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift

Hi Justin, Page and PGMan,

I picked up your e-mails from "postgresql.com" web-site. Please excuse
me if this e-mail is a bothersome to you. However, I didn't know to
whom I should submit this reply I received from O'Reilley. I wrote to
them and received the following:

I like reading the articles that come in this e-mail newsletter. I like
reading about PHP, MySQL, Apache, C++, OpenBSD, Linux, etc. I know the
focus is on Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Python, and Perl. However, I see
very few articles on PostgreSQL. Could there be a subject called Open
Source SQL and cover MySQL, PostgreSQL, along with other Open Source SQL
in general? Just a suggestion.

You're right, we should find more PostgreSQL coverage. I recently
revised our "What is LAMP?" article to be more inclusive:

      http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2001/01/25/lamp.html

I'm looking for more good database content and will keep my eyes open
for good Pg writers. Do you know anyone who might be interested?

Thanks for the feedback,

Would this be something that somenone from PostgreSQL can address? I
just want to see a bit more articles throughout the web on PostgreSQL.
The person's e-mail is: chromatic@oreilly.com

Thanks,
