Roles and Responsibilities:
You will join a team of experienced programmers; 10-15 individuals. You will
work on new development projects and existing systems in a 24/7 transaction-
processing environment. Daily responsibilities include programming, web
development, analysis and design.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Database and application programmer in UNIX environment with 3+ years
experience in the following areas:
• Strong database design skills and fluency in SQL
• Strong knowledge of NetBSD, PostgreSQL and Linux
• Solid database project experience
• UNIX networking experience
• Programming languages: Python, C, C++, Java and programming languages
• Experience in writing CS database applications using object oriented
languages
• Experience in writing host based applications
• Application development experience in the financial industry
• Understanding of Extreme Programming practices and rules
• Fast learner, self-starter, solution oriented and productive worker
• Dedicated to programming and meeting deadlines
• Ability to work independently, as a team player and in a fast paced
environment
• B.S. in Computer Science, Co-op Software Engineering Stream or Mathematics
