That would would definitely contribute to the *appearance* of multiple 
messages being sent out ... so, between the confusion of subject of the 
message, and potential multiple lists ...

... now you understand why headers for this would have been useful? :(

Sad thing is, depending on how your filter was setup, you would never have 
noticed the copy to -announce vs -general either ... not to have thought 
about saving copies ...
