Try this before starting postmaster:

    :
    ulimit -d 65536 2>/dev/null
    ulimit -c 0 2>/dev/null
    limit datasize 64m 2>/dev/null
    limit cordumpsize 0 2>/dev/null

Some proc limit is being exceeded.
