looks good to me, mine looks like this, and it works:
local all all trust
host all all 127.0.0.1 255.255.255.255 trust
host all all 10.195.0.0 255.255.0.0 md5

Turn on logging (e.g. by using the -l option to pg_ctl)
and turn the line in postgresql.conf, which says
#log_connections = false
into
log_connections=true
Try to connect and look, if something shows up in your logfiles.

Something filtering inbetween? Logging connections as described
above might give you a clue what's happening.
