I have been told there are some very helpful profiling tools out
there that will give me information such as which queries happen the
most, and which queries take the longest. I would like to develop
such information from our database to subsequently optimize using
EXPLAIN.

After searching the mailing list archives and the online
documentation, I can only find reference to enabling OS level
profiling in the binaries by compiling with "gmake PROFILE=-pg all".
I am looking for something that outputs information in a way that is
more DBA-friendly.

Can anyone point me to something that would help me with this? I
