When my perl compiles the line in Pg.pm
bootstrap Pg $VERSION;
(subsequent to "use Pg;" in my script)
I get the following:

Compilation failed in require at x line 2.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at x line 2.
Notes:
$VERSION = "1.8.0"This is perl, v5.6.0 built for i386-linux
Need suggestions on how to proceed.
