I successfully installed Postgres 7.0 and can start postmaster manually, but
have not been able to get it to start at boot time. When my computer boots I
see it start Postgres and get an ok, but when I try to access a database with
psql I get the message that postmaster is not running.
anyone have an idea what I've missed? I'm using Mandrake 7.0. I installed
postgres from the sources.
