67.1. Preparing to Upgrade #
Schedule a maintenance window to upgrade both manager and agents.
Select the date and time when no operations with databases and their objects are scheduled (see scheduled tasks in the task console).
Important
If both the manager and agents are not upgraded within the maintenance window and operate on different versions, this may lead to unpredictable consequences.
Avoid using different manager and agent versions simultaneously, as this scenario was not tested, and the correct PPEM operation is not guaranteed in this case.
Back up the repository database of the old PPEM version.
Make sure you have enough disk space. The available space must be at least twice the size of the repository database.
