58.4. Snapshot Schedules #
58.4.1. Creating a Snapshot Schedule #
Before performing this instruction:
To create a snapshot schedule:
Go to snapshot schedules in one of the following ways:
Using the monitoring section:
In the navigation panel, go to Monitoring → Profiler → Schedule.
From Instance, select the instance.
Using the configuration section of an instance:
In the navigation panel, go to Infrastructure → Instances.
Click the name of the instance.
In the navigation panel, go to Profiler → Schedule.
In the top-right corner of the page, click Create task.
Specify parameters of the new snapshot schedule (parameters marked with an asterisk are required):
Name.
Set cron-string execution: Allows specifying the interval for taking snapshots in the crontab format.
If you turn on this toggle, in Execution, enter the string.
Execution: The type of the snapshot schedule.
Possible values:
Once: One snapshot will be created at the specified date and time.
Repeated: Snapshots will be taken at the specified interval.
For this value, specify the following parameters:
Interval: The unit of measurement of the interval.
Possible values:
Minutes
Hours
Days
Repeat every: The interval for taking snapshots by minutes or hours.
This parameter is available only if you select Minutes or Hours from Interval.
Execution days: The days when snapshots will be taken.
Cron total line: The string in the crontab format that specifies the interval for taking snapshots.
This parameter is available only if you turn off Set cron-string execution.
Time: The date and/or time when snapshots will be taken.
This parameter is available only if you select Once from Execution or Days from Interval.
Start and Repeat until: The start and end date and time for taking snapshots.
These parameters are available only if you turn on Set cron-string execution or select Repeated from Execution.
Database: The database for which the snapshot will be taken.
Server: The profiler server whose directory will be used to store the snapshot.
skip_sizes: Specifies whether to skip the collection of relation sizes when taking the snapshot.
Possible values:
true: The collection of relation sizes will be skipped when taking the snapshot.
false: The collection of relation sizes will not be skipped when taking the snapshot.
Click Save.
58.4.2. Viewing Snapshot Schedules #
Go to snapshot schedules in one of the following ways:
Using the monitoring section:
In the navigation panel, go to Monitoring → Profiler → Schedule.
From Instance, select the instance.
Using the configuration section of an instance:
In the navigation panel, go to Infrastructure → Instances.
Click the name of the instance.
In the navigation panel, go to Profiler → Schedule.
The table of snapshot schedules with the following columns will be displayed:
Task: The unique name of the snapshot schedule.
Instance: The instance where the snapshot schedule is created.
Database: The database for which snapshots are taken.
Schedule: The string in the crontab format that specifies the interval for taking snapshots.
User: The user that created the snapshot schedule.
Actions.

58.4.3. Editing a Snapshot Schedule #
Go to snapshot schedules in one of the following ways:
Using the monitoring section:
In the navigation panel, go to Monitoring → Profiler → Schedule.
Click
next to the task.
Using the task console section:
In the navigation panel, go to Task console → Schedule.
Click
next to the task of the Creating a statistics snapshot type.
To determine the type of the task, refer to the Parameters column.
Edit schedule parameters.
For more information about these parameters, refer to the Section 58.4.1.
When editing a schedule using the task console section, the following additional parameters are displayed:
Type: The type of the task.
Operation • Object: The operation description and the name of the object on which the operation is executed.
To go to the detailed object view, click the name of the object.
Click Save.
58.4.4. Executing a Snapshot Schedule #
You can manually execute a snapshot schedule to instantly start taking snapshots.
To execute a snapshot schedule:
Go to snapshot schedules in one of the following ways:
Using the monitoring section:
In the navigation panel, go to Monitoring → Profiler → Schedule.
From Instance, select the instance.
Using the configuration section of an instance:
In the navigation panel, go to Infrastructure → Instances.
Click the name of the instance.
In the navigation panel, go to Profiler → Schedule.
Click
→ Execute next to the snapshot schedule.
58.4.5. Activating and Deactivating a Snapshot Schedule #
You can deactivate a snapshot schedule to temporarily stop taking snapshots. Snapshot schedules are activated by default.
To deactivate or activate a snapshot schedule:
Go to snapshot schedules in one of the following ways:
Using the monitoring section:
In the navigation panel, go to Monitoring → Profiler → Schedule.
From Instance, select the instance.
Using the configuration section of an instance:
In the navigation panel, go to Infrastructure → Instances.
Click the name of the instance.
In the navigation panel, go to Profiler → Schedule.
Click
→ Deactivate or Activate next to the snapshot schedule.
58.4.6. Deleting a Snapshot Schedule #
Important
Deleted snapshot schedules cannot be restored.
When you delete a snapshot schedule, the associated snapshots are not deleted.
To delete a snapshot schedule:
Go to snapshot schedules in one of the following ways:
Using the monitoring section:
In the navigation panel, go to Monitoring → Profiler → Schedule.
From Instance, select the instance.
Using the configuration section of an instance:
In the navigation panel, go to Infrastructure → Instances.
Click the name of the instance.
In the navigation panel, go to Profiler → Schedule.
Click
→ Delete next to the snapshot schedule.
Click Delete.
