Hi,

Again, please CC me any reply as I'm not on this list.

This is scary:

adm=> select count(*) from onyxpasswd;
pqReadData() -- backend closed the channel unexpectedly.
        This probably means the backend terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.
We have lost the connection to the backend, so further processing is impossible. Terminating.

At the moment, a different program is either deleting some records or
adding some, but it is using transactions so things ought to be
locked. In any case, the backend should not crash on me like this!
This has now happened to me three times in the past minute with this exact
query.

This does not exactly give me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
