Isn't RAC a shared-storage cluster?

 Shared-

   Storage
   Memory
   Listener

   Storage : Obvious
   Memory: Cache fusion maintains buffer consistency across the network
   Listener: Load balancing and failover of connections are handled transparently by TNS (transparent network substrate).
