SELECT overhead in explicit transaction - Mailing list pgsql-general

Hi all,

I'm wondering whether there would be any extra overhead (CPU, memory,
io, etc), above and beyond the implicit ACCESS SHARE, incurred by
putting a simple SELECT into a transaction block?
