Actually Pg.pm *does* allow you to connect with a username/password. If
you use the 'new-style' methods of Pg.pm, do $db->connect("dbname=.. user=..
password=..");. If you use the 'old-style' (like I do), use PQconnectdb()
with the same arguments.
