They're not _that_ off-the-wall:

morannon:~/pgdata>egrep 'sort_mem|shared_buffers' postgresql.conf
sort_mem = 32168
shared_buffers = 15200

morannon:~/pgdata>ipcs

(My postgresql install runs as "sauron" - not "postgres", btw)
