MSI Installer or a way to disable "always" installing of VCredinst_64, or make it silent - Mailing list pgadmin-support

Hello,

I’m preparing pgAdmin4 v9.12 for PKG installation and so we are trying to do 2 things:
1. Perform it fully silently

2. Split Pre-requisites into different packages

There is a problem with splitting the pre-requisites because your package always attempts to install vcredinst_64 2015.
Even when we split the installed, install it separately and even restart machine, the installation of pgAdmin will always attempt installing it and thus show the picture popup for Redistributable installation as shown below:

Is there a way we could install the pgAdmin without the vcred installer?
For instance, do you have a separate MSI installation?
Could we provide a parameter that would stop it or make it silent?

Also, I think your installation parameters are wrong:

, according to tooltip that is:

so instead
/passive /verysilent /norestart
you should have
/quiet /norestart
I’ve tested the only /quiet parameter and there was no popup/window/prompt (nothing) and the Redistributable installed.
