Try running "ldconfig" and look if /lib contains valid links to
libreadline.so.4(.3). Also try ldconfig -p to examine the linker cache
then. /lib looks like this on my MDK 10.0 installation then:

 libreadline.so -> libreadline.so.4.3
 libreadline.so.4 -> libreadline.so.4.3
 libreadline.so.4.1 -> ../lib/libreadline.so.4
 libreadline.so.4.2 -> ../lib/libreadline.so.4
 libreadline.so.4.3
