Sorry Hiroshi - that's on my list to find a permanent fix. We need some
way to do something like:

#ifdef PG_8_0_4_OR_ABOVE
    if (ParseDateTime(values[0], lowstr, sizeof(lowstr), field,
ftype, MAXDATEFIELDS, &nf))
#else
    if (ParseDateTime(values[0], lowstr, field, ftype,
MAXDATEFIELDS, &nf))
#endif


In the meantime though, your patch is exactly what I did for 8.0.4 :-)
