It also depends on various factors like:

1. No of users.
2. Type of application oltp/dss etc
3. Replicated / non replicated
4. The processing capacity based on CPUs/cores

Start with basic configuration and check for performance , and slowly increase the capacity in steps.

There is a site where you can input parameters and get the suggested configuration. I don't have it now.

Something similar to your Oracle installation, perhaps.
